Step-by-step

You have a particular furniture piece you want custom built, maybe you know the size, shape, material and finish you desire.  Maybe you don’t know what you want – just that you need something for that funny corner or underutilized space.  Regardless of your stage in custom furniture planning Henry can help you out.

1) Call or e-mail Sara – what is your project? measurements? desired materials? budget?  In your initial conversation Henry and Sara will be able to tell you if your project is feasible, if your budget is realistic, and/or how to adjust your vision to fit your budget.

2) Custom Design – Flat Fee – Henry custom designs your project in CAD and you are given working blueprints for your furniture piece.  Henry can draft several options at different price points for you to decide on. The final design will include a final price and at this point you can continue with a contract to build. Or take your design and go elsewhere, the design is yours.

3) Contract – get peace of mind by signing a contract for the agree on design, materials, finish, delivery and price. This agreement is what you will pay (no additional or hidden fees) and initial deposit of 50% of the total price is required to start production, balance due at delivery or pick up.

4) Building – Henry will source materials, fixtures, finishes and build your custom piece in his 2,000 sqft technology forward workshop. Build time will vary based on project and will be estimated in step 2.

5) Delivery – delivery costs will be agreed to in the contract and will depend on necessary equipment, additional assistance, labor time for shimming (regardless of your floor’s condition Henry will ensure your custom furniture piece will be level) and will vary for each project.  Final 50% due at delivery/pick up.
