San Francisco homeowner, Yuki wanted to create a warm mother-in-law suite with thoughtful personal touches. Yuki had a vision for a full wall platform bed to replicate a Japanese tatami area in her mother’s custom designed suite.
The results are a complete transformation purposefully dividing this open studio living space into cozy nooks.
A deep set platform gives the illusion of a floating bedroom area. Built to house a queen size mattress the resulting bed is a combination of Japanese design with modern mattress comfort. Storage drawers are built to be functional with premium soft-close runners that are deep, but not too deep, for easily access.
Yuki also collaborated with Henry on a master bedroom closet, both pieces were installed at the end of a complete home remodel, beautifully finishing a carefully designed home.
