This custom designed and built reception desk is a collaboration between Threadup.com partner Oliver and Design Trifecta owner Henry. Thread Up is a new way to buy and sell like new cloths online. In fitting with Thread Up’s flair for creativity Oliver wanted a reception desk as unique and stylish as the cloths on ThreadUp.com
ThreadUp’s reception desk is crafted in solid live-edge American walnut with a hickory modesty panel. Design Trifecta specializes in detailed craftsmanship evident in both the hand chiseled dove-tails and the unique joinery merging the two solid live-edge planks.
Oliver accompanied Henry in selecting the lived edge planks from a quality local Bay Area slab wood specialist. To bring out the natural beauty of the wood the desk was hand finished in danish oil.
Henry and Oliver discussed all aspects of the design from dimensions, materials, finish and function. The reception desk is a beautiful realization of Oliver’s office vision through Henry’s decade of fine furniture design and production experience.
